Blood Blade Early Access DevLog


Way back in 2011, as soon as I figured out how to use Blender 2.65, I started to create models for this game. Little did I know that I had done something wrong. The models wouldn't work in Unity 4 (or was it 3?). These models were basic and low poly, but they looked nice for the style I had in mind. Either way I decided to zip the lot up and start again. 

This time I went a bit crazy with the amount of armor pieces. This is because I had also seen a little bit of programming, and I knew it was possible to do and I thought this would be a nice feature. I also created new sounds for game and included my friends music, and created all of the 2D art from scratch. I also hired a team of programmers to help out. Unfortunately that version failed to deliver and the programmers moved on to other projects.

I then had a rethink on the whole armor feature and went back to team uniforms, with a selection of the pieces used for each one.  I've also developed a few arenas which will be implemented at some point. There's a ton of updates and topics I want to mention, but I don't want to spoil anything.

Now with a new programming team behind it, this game will become what I've wanted for quite a long time.
